“I Can” Is Courageousness

What would you like to have?
What would you like to do?
What would you like to be?
Yes, what is it?

Now, whatever you said, what’s stopping you?

Why don’t you have it? Why don’t you do it? Why don’t you be it?

Put yourself on the spot, what is it?
Be brutally honest with yourself. Do you really want that? Sometimes we think we want something and then when we really get right down to it, it isn’t that important to us. You may have already seen that when you’ve released on goals. What you thought was something you just must have, you find out, after releasing on the goal for awhile, that maybe you really don’t want it at all.

So let’s get that out of the way, because there is something you definitely would like to have, do or be.

What is it and why isn’t it yours?

Check right now.

What’s your block?

What’s standing in your way?

Is it because there’s an “I can’t” thought? “I can’t do it. I can’t have it. I can’t be it.” Then the many assorted excuses follow: I can’t because, not enough money, not enough time, no one to help me, it might not work out anyway, too old, too young, not enough education, too much education, don’t know how, don’t know who, don’t know where to start, don’t have what it takes, haven’t done it yet so probably won’t do it now, it’s too late… That’s only a partial list. We humans can get very creative about our “I cant’s.” What is it for you?

I can’t because ____________________.

You know, that behind any “I can’t” is, ‘I won’t.” And behind the, “I won’t” is fear. Check that for yourself right now. It’s the fear that blocks you. Fear is just a feeling and you can let it go. In fact, you must let it go or you’ll stay stuck there in fear forever and never be able to move into having, doing or being.

What does it take to attain the objects of your dreams? It begins with an attitude of, “I can. I can do it. I can have it. I can be it.”

Notice the difference in energy?

Try it. Say, “I can’t” four times. Now, say, “I can” four times. Notice, “I can’t” is weak energy? Notice it’s low energy? Notice it has a pathetic feel to it. Notice there’s a despairing, defeated, forlorn feeling behind, “I can’t?”

How about when you say, “I can?” Now how does that feel? It feels much better doesn’t it? Does the word, “Yes,” come to mind when you say, “I can?” Does “I can” feel bold? Does “I can” have power to it? Does “I can” feel like a strong energy? Does it feel like a high energy?

What’s more, when you say, “I can,” do you notice that it’s a done deal? When you say, “I can do it,” game over. It’s done. Yes, you might have to carry out the steps to finish it. But it’s done when you say, “I can.” When you say, “I can have it,” notice, it’s a fait accompli. You have it. Notice the feeling that the universe is behind you organizing all the pieces and parts when you say, “I can do it.”

When you say, “I can,” you are setting in motion the remarkable power of Courageousness. Can you feel that power? When you say, “I can,” you are in Courageousness. And no one or nothing can stop you. Courageousness is power-packed energy that says, “It is done.”

Courageousness opens the door to Acceptance. “I can do it. I can have it. I can be it.” Notice the Acceptance. Courageously saying, “I can,” automatically moves you into acceptance. And right behind Acceptance, Peace. When you move into Acceptance, Peace flows in and envelops you like the warm sunshine. Do you notice that?

When you make the decision, “I can,” you’re in Courageousness. There’s no doubt. There’s no questioning. There are no excuses. There is no wanting. When you move into “I can,” the Courageousness energy, there is Acceptance that’s it’s all done, and there’s Peace, because the mental racket attached to “I can’t” is all gone.

And as Lester Levenson says, “Everything falls perfectly into line.”

You get into Courageousness, the “I can do it, I can have it, I can be it” energy by releasing. You mentally dive into those feelings. You find out what’s hiding-out in there and you let it go. You bring whatever thoughts or feelings you find in your way to wanting approval, wanting control or wanting to be safe and you let them go. The Third Way to Release: Immediately see all your feelings culminate in wanting approval, wanting control or wanting to be safe. And immediately let go of wanting approval, wanting control or wanting to be safe.

Momentum is the key that unlocks the door to maximizing your releasing. With momentum you live your life in full time, all the time Courageousness.

Check it out for yourself. When you decide, “I can. I can do it,” you’re in Courageousness and the universe revs up your engine and nothing can stop you. Find out for yourself.

Can you do it? It’s a decision. Yes you can.

Can you accept change in your life?

Change is part of nature; it occurs every second of the day, within your body and in the world that you live in. Change is a necessary part of life, but, as people, we tend to fight it because we fear what these changes might bring. When you think back on your life, the most difficult times were usually those that taught you lessons you might never have learned, and as fire molds steel, you usually come out stronger and molded with a purpose you might not have had before.

Stop Fighting the Inevitable

When we fight change, we fight our inherent nature and this is when we become stagnant, unhappy and without a purpose. Accepting change might not always prevent the difficult times that are presented to us through these changes, but it will make it easier for you to accept these challenges and learn from them. Fighting change is much like fighting a storm; while you waste all of your energy trying to prevent the inevitable, the storm will simply continue on its course, uninhibited by your frugal attempts. You might be able to prevent change for a few moments, weeks or even years, but one day it will arrive on your doorstep, and the only way to prevent it from tearing the house down is to greet it as you would a long lost friend and let it in.

Can you Accept Change in your Life: Welcoming Small Changes

Can you accept change in your life? Some of us are more used to change than others; travelers flit through cities, barely remembering where they last lay their heads, while there are some that refuse to leave the home they purchased twenty years before, even if it is crumbling beneath their feet. Change is something that you can learn, however, if you start accepting it in small pieces. Try something new every day, no matter how small or big the task, and you will soon find that change is opportunity in disguise. Even the challenges that it brings are rough stones that we can use to fine tune our abilities, and ourselves, so that we can face life with braver hearts, ready to rise above the tides that roll our way.

Life is an Adventure and Change is our Steed

As children, we tend to be more open to change. We tend to be more excited about visiting new places, trying new foods and activities, and meeting new people. This zest for life need not be lost along the way. Change is not a burden that you need to carry to call yourself human; it is the steed that carries us on our adventure through life; one that we should welcome with open arms whenever it rears its head. The next time you are asked, “can you accept change in your life?” the answer you should give should be an excited and determined “yes!”

My New Years Resolutions

I want to be happy for no reason this year except that I am here and alive and I claim this moment as my own. It’s mine. Its got my name on it!

This year, I want to spend more time in nature, not on the path near my home, with its iPods, and cell phones and incessant chatter, but deep in a forest, where the earth recognizes my step, and the ground kisses my feet as I walk.

This year, I want to say no, more often, and not feel guilty, and say yes, more often, and not feel embarrassed.

I want to take the time to grieve fully this year, for those people that I have lost and mourn those things that I shall never have or be again.

I want to hear the sounds of creation and I can’t tell you what those sounds are, because I have never really heard them before. I ‘ve been too busy for that. But their music beckons to me in the stillness when I have finally given up my need to control.

I want to see, really see the sights of the universe and I can’t tell you what those sights are, because I have never really seen them before. I’ve had my eyes closed. But their vision haunts me in my dreams and gently calls forth to me in my waking hours.

I want to take the child in me out to play more this year and step in mud puddles, get my feet wet, eat cotton candy, build a snowman, talk to strangers, kiss furry dogs and chase mangy cats.

This year I want to eat my spaghetti with a fork and forget about the spoon and get my face really dirty.
I want to get to know my teddy bear more this year. After all, he is really the only one who has always been there for me, in my darkest hour, comforting me and whispering sweet messages into my heart, that were more accurate than any psychic ever could be.

I want to see the world with new eyes this year, as if I have never seen it before, like an alien on an unfamiliar planet, and not take anything for granted.

This year, I want to talk less and say more. I want to taste more and eat less.

I want to write more about those things that really matter to me, with passion, the things that I know in my gut, the things that stir up my soul, and not give a damn about keywords or tags or where I rank in Google.
I want to sit with a flower this year and watch it bloom, and know what it feels like to finally surrender to life, to succumb to a purpose bigger than my own.

I want to talk to the moon and bask in the sun and gaze at the stars for hours and hours.

I want to be much more silly this year, and care much less about what people think of me. I have forgotten just how much fun being silly can be.

I want to laugh, harder than I have ever laughed before. And cry less for all of the pain and suffering that I think I can’t fix, because I know that I can. Every time that I make the choice to be free, there is less suffering in the world, not a world with less pain, but less pain in the world.

I want to love more this year, not the sappy, greeting card kind of love they sell on Valentine’s day cards, but a love that surpasses all distance, time, space and differences.

This year, I want to make friends with those parts of me that I am afraid of and attempt to do those things that still scare me to death. Well, at least some of them.

I want to appreciate more and complain less, accept more and judge less, forgive more and blame less. I want to ultimately do nothing and allow everything.

This year I want to break open the windows of my life and knock down the doors, remove the shackles and stare down the illusion until it sets me free.

So you won’t find goals here or projects or timelines or objectives or plans or directions or bucket lists or targets. You’ll only find me.

5 Great Ways to Conquer Self Doubt

Let go of those doubts.

Alexandra Levit writes:

Self doubt has been something I’ve struggled with all my life, from debating whether I could get into a top tier university to believing I could succeed as a writer. It’s a very human emotion, and it’s made worse for some people because of life experiences or temperament. Self doubt also makes you feel alone. Sometimes you think you’re the only person in the universe who suffers from a crisis of confidence, and you wish that you could be more like your successful, self-assured neighbor. Well, I guarantee that your neighbor doubts himself every now and then too.
You won’t ever be able to rid yourself of doubt entirely – believe me, I’ve tried. But I hope that these suggestions will lessen your pain when dark thoughts are all around you.

And you can read the suggestions in the Pivotal Magazine.

… Success comes to those who can weather the storm.”

“Just as the tumultuous chaos of a thunderstorm brings a nurturing rain that allows life to flourish, so too in human affairs times of advancement are preceded by times of disorder. Success comes to those who can weather the storm.”
— I Ching No. 3
